Meet Our Staff

Jeremy A. Houtakker, MMS, PA-C, ATCJeremy A. Houtakker, MMS, PA-C, ATC

Physician Assistant

Jeremy sees patients, conducts exams, writes prescriptions, performs injections, diagnoses and treats illnesses and assists with surgery – all under the supervision of Dr. Lyon. His special areas of interest are sports injuries, throwing and running biomechanics and total joint replacements. What he enjoys most about being a physician assistant is being able to help people return to doing the activities they love.

Before joining Dr. Lyon in Mercy's orthopedic surgery department, Jeremy worked as a certified athletic trainer for a couple of years, which included an internship with the Chicago Rush arena football team during their 2003 season.

He earned his bachelor's of science degree in athletic training from Clarke College and has been a certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certification since 2003. This specialty training is useful for understanding the injuries and conditions he sees in sports medicine patients at the office.

In August 2007, he received a master's degree of medical science of physician assistant studies from Midwestern University. He has been certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants since September 2007.

When he's not assisting Dr. Lyon in the operating room or seeing patients, Jeremy enjoys running, mountain biking and spending time with his family. He has recently completed a marathon and a half-marathon.

Rachel Harris, RMARachel Harris, RMA

Medical Assistant

Rachel assists with patient care within the clinic, answering patient phone calls, and scheduling surgeries. She received her medical assistant degree through the West Palm Beach College and the Ross Medical Institute. She joined the Mercy Orthopedics team in 2004. Her favorite thing about working with Dr. Lyon is seeing the patients get better after a debilitating injury or years of arthritic pain. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and volunteering her time to the local 4-H and Awana Clubs.

Lisa Klevin, RNLisa Klevin, RN

Registered Nurse

Lisa assists with patient care, suture removal, and patient education. She received her nursing degree through Gateway Technical College and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She has previously worked in the operating room and on the medical-surgical floor, which helps her understand the full spectrum of care needed for the orthopedic patient. She is an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoys sporting events, boating, and spending time with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren.
